How can I download text from a web page?

[Kershaw]

I found a couple of textbooks online that would be useful for my studies, but the website doesn’t allow them to be downloaded or copied in any way. You’re expected to study them online only, which isn’t very convenient for me. Are there any ways to get them onto my computer anyway?

It often happens that the most needed content on the internet cannot be downloaded or copied. When I was a student, I couldn’t get many textbooks or academic papers this way either. Manually retyping such large volumes was not an option. Fortunately, there are now tools that can extract text from a page via a link, for example: https://pr-cy.io/page-to-text/ . You can use it to save your textbooks to your computer.
