Everyone must be hiding from the ghosts and ghouls still lol.

I won’t be posting on the forums until I can block Brad so I don’t have to deal with his llama drama, lashing out or passive aggressive/overtly aggressive comments.  Life’s too short to waste time that could be spent growing or learning how to be a better grower…

Dude, if you lose it’s because of gibberish spam posts like this that have no relevance, aren’t constructive and get deleted.  Two people have called you out about it. Not some conspiracy, especially when I’m giving the light away since I don’t need it and you’ve made this contest so toxic it’s not worth keeping.  It’d only undermine the community and spider farms reputation, so I asked @Atom and @NeuroticTurtle if they could use it since they have made incredible contributions to the community and deserve it.  I told Keith earlier that as far as I’m concerned the three of us should be eliminated from the contest.  You’re your own worst enemy, not some victim of a conspiracy.  Get over it or die angry, it’s your choice…

Laziest costume ever as I just grab my gardening vest, re-arranged some of the gear so it sticks out and shoved leaves/some buds into the hat…  I give you the Time Travelling Pheno Hunter that’s come back to save the perfect pot from prohibition to stop the coming apocalypse…

Who needs a good costume when you can just whip up a backstory to explain whatever ridiculousness you throw together….

Now to wear it to the shop to give everyone a chuckle, who needs dignity when you’re making people laugh?

So ideally we want the water to spread out as much as possible and have as little force when hitting the soil to reduce compression/compaction which limits aeration. The best designed watering can I’ve seen is Hawthorn Watering Cans as you’ll notice the spouts face upwards on them which directs the water up into the air as it comes out so it falls back gently onto the plants just like rain instead of pouring out of the can with the force/weight of the water pushing it.  They are meant for outdoors use though and not ideal for watering pots indoors as the water fans out in a wide pattern.  The one I linked above is a truly magnificent watering can, I’ve used one for a decade now and it’s as good as new.

When I grew commercially I had a watering wand attached to a hose and pump in my res as that creates the same soft drops of water falling and breaks up the pressure.  Currently I bottom water or use a wick system/capillary mats to avoid compression entirely although in a pinch if I need to water from above I hold my hand over the pot and pour the water on that so it bounces off and spreads out to reduce compression.

The same thing that “what are you listening to” or “my trip back home” do; it’s people sharing info about themselves to get to know each other…

You really don’t sound like you’re over it, you sound angry as you’re lashing out endlessly, days after it happened and still aren’t listening…

You’re a goof, I’ve already arranged to give the light to someone if I end up winning it as I don’t need it.  I said a couple days ago I’m done dealing with your nonsense and paranoid delusions; you had two people call you out for spamming and still don’t think you’ve done anything wrong.  That’s your baggage to deal with, I’m walking away clean and happy as I’ve said all along that my focus is making a good community, not winning gear I don’t need.  If you look back to the conversation at the beginning about points where it wasn’t clear how they worked I said clearly I wasn’t going to spam, I was going to post quality content and if I won great.  I’ve gotten everything I’ve needed from this experience and am done with it.  Rant all you want, it doesn’t have anything to do with me, just your skewed perception based on assumptions instead of communicating.  Peace, I’m going back to ignoring you until there’s a block feature so I don’t have to see your posts or worry about you harassing me…

As long as you know your customer bag appeal is the name of the game; most will love those tight nuts but a discerning head would pay twice as much for a long flowering, low yielding flower if they understand the economics of growing.

Any idea what the cross is behind this variety?  That’s unfortunate but I’m sure you’ll give it a fitting send off in a cloud to join the clouds…

Good luck with the sister and hope she’s more stable and not susceptible to growing dingleberries.

It’s a good idea to check after you harvest when it won’t affect the plants.  Simply way to see if there’s anything to adjust on the next run but it doesn’t make sense to do them while growing unless you have serious issues….

You can’t blame producers for trying to make a buck, not when they’re serving exactly what the customers want.  It comes down to customers understanding the product, asking for different product and being willing to pay for it.  Which is where the economics get screwy as prohibition (even in it’s limited sense like in legal states) creates a bottleneck on the supply side while increasing the demand.  Without free market competition, which isn’t possible until it’s legal and properly regulated (something Canada’s still figuring out as our regulations definitely enable the BM) and there’s an open market where standard economic principles come into effect.  Prohibition inevitably lead to inflated prices, limited competition and more then anything limits the consumers ability to educate themselves on what they prefer.  So, if anything blame the gov and their bigoted, irrational laws for creating the mess.

Like you said though, what we’re talking about applies to the commercial side and has no relevance to Cannabliss home grow.  He’s used organic methods which cost more and produce less, hand trimmed and I’d assume hung to dry, not thrown around but handled gently, properly dried and possibly cured; all the things needed to ensure quality.  Which is why I always say that at this point the best option to get quality at a good price is to grow your own.  Even in our legal market with BM prices at the rock bottom; home grown is usually better if the grower puts just a bit of work into it.

No costumes for the girls?  You aren’t gonna dress them up as broccoli or maybe some tomatoes?  Otherwise they’re looking good

That’s a serious commitment to your plants health as I imagine that’ll take awhile depending how much water they need.  It’ll make sure there’s no compression though.

Yes, although my gut reaction is it’ll probably be a lot of marketing with little substance.  I was watching some of the promo videos on the Cannsell website (like smart serve but for budtenders) and they were truly cringe worthy; people that don’t understand what they’re talking about “educating” people who don’t know anything about growing and perpetuating the bro science…  Then again anytime to put a costume on is fun, I was thinking I can take parts of a couple old steam punk costumes along with a hat that looks like the old British colonial explorer hats from Africa and go as a “strain hunter” from the future who’s come back to find the miracle plant to stop the apocalypse.  Every costume needs a good back store plus I need an excuse to have leaves/buds hanging off of me while wearing my googles lol.

There you go, learning and trying new things to control your grow!

Another thing I didn’t mention is to cut out any products with auxins or cytokines (I’m looking at you kelp) as those both tell the plant to stretch and grow which isn’t what we want.

Then it really does come down to finding the right varieties that have a manageable stretch when flipped; look at grow reports of varieties you’re interested in or ask the breeders what the stretch is like but it really just comes down to experience and growing out a bunch of different things to see how varied the results are and finding varieties that are easy to grow.
