I’m currently using home made hypochlorous acid to keep my system sterile. Before that I used hydrogen peroxide but I find hypochlorous acid to work much better. It also seems to be one of the most cost effective ways to keep my system clean. Athena Cleanse, Flora Flex Root Drip and Current Culture UC Roots and Clear Line are all hypochlorous acid products. Its the most frequently used sterilizer in nutrient lines because it’s more effective than Hydrogen peroxide, safer, lasts longer in reservoirs and doesn’t interact with chelated nutrients like H202. It also acts as a descaler and can reduce nutrient buildup. In various ppm it’s approved by the FDA for eye care, wound care and mouth rinse.
