      I pay attention to the ratio of new growth vs the plant dying back which is how you need to evaluate large crops as using a scope to look at trichs to judge is too inefficient, time consuming and inaccurate considering the variation in trichs from the top compared to the bottom. Most of the advice around harvesting seems to be regurgitated ideas with little practical application to growing crops.

        That’s really the best way, the more you focus on the plants and learning how to read what they’re telling you instead of following advice from the internet which may or may not be relevant depending on the differences in nuances between the grows; the less confusing and more productive your gardening will be.
