Nanners on branch #3 now, thats enough.

This has been an adventure, but its not over yet.  I still have the other THC Victory to go, it was 3.5 weeks behind on the flower cycle, and may not have been stressed the same way or be as susceptible.

still, rest in peacepipes there THC Victory #1, ye showed great promise, may your sister have an easier time of things.

#THC Victory, Day 42F, canopy is approx 8-12″ from SE7000, feeding regimen adjusted down to 16mL H&G Soil A&B and 2 tablespoons of epsom salts per 3.06L water instead of the 6mL Technaflora magiCal I was using before.  Same additives and boosters.

Those seem like they’d be super inaccurate, not every trichome is created equal, if its even actually counting them.

The only at-home testers I’d heard of previously were the CannaDX kit and the Purpl Pro kits, and they claim fairly decent accuracy compared to actual HPLC tests.   I personally haven’t used them, but I’m looking at getting a tester kit next tax year.

I’m not sure which strain you’re talking about, the only 16-18 week strain I can think of is Mekong Haze.

THC Victory is only an 11 week flower, nominally…. but ofc when I initially ordered I missed that entirely.

I mean… I did veg the wee beasties for quite some time… so that could explain some of the discrepancy, but I’m still not 100% sure what you’re talking about.

Flowering times aside, the goal was to provide 7% thcv, 7-8% thc, and a couple percent terps for a modest 15-19% total cannabinoid profile targeted to my anxiety disorder.   Honestly the backup plan was to make rosin containing roughly 40%/40% THCV/THC + %terps.  This just got accelerated a lil bit, and the terp profile is going to be off.  Possibly hints of ocimene (hay) and a metric tonne of phytol…. but it should be okay.

No clue, Dutch Passions hasn’t said what the parents are as far as I know, but the others in the same space are all african or thai sativa landrace selections.  I have high hopes for the GDP x Black Willie to follow, and if the THC Victory pollenated my GDP x BW I might even try running some of those seeds, if viable.  The black willie was a thai crossed to a nepalese strain, but was still a stable 9 weeker.

That’s just one of the risks to running exotic sativas with long flower times….  I can always try one of the others on market with a shorter window next, I think palmera THCV runs 9 weeks.

Mostly to keep overall ppm down, there’s already 300ppm of just calcium in the water here, plus whats in the H&G soil nutes…. I felt I could take a risk and switch to pure magnesium.  If they show signs of needing more calcium somehow I’ll go back to calmag.

apologies for late reply, had a couple power outages here that lasted nearly an entire day.

after the first power outage and way too much dark time with no water:

another update later when I can reset the timers…

No, I think you miss the point brad, the ‘Points Rules’ at the top of the site doesn’t list anything about the ‘social network’ features, any points generated from that side of the site thus, are shady AF.  It lists Common, Forum, Referral and Other methods of gaining points, zero mention of the social network features points limit — if there even is one.

Finding other places outside the Forum but still on the website that cause points, thats the real gold we found along the way, no?   If I had anything personal against you, I probably would’ve said something in private when we were still nominally friends…  quit taking this personally, I’m not after ‘your’ light, brethren.  There’s no opinions being slung, there’s no ‘hating’ going on, sir.   I just had enough so I clicked a couple other buttons ;o

      have a pleasant, fruitful, day.

Can you like, calm down and make your posts readable at least?   You make this place hard to interact with on the daily.

The thread was a question about posts getting removed, and you just come in with spam instead.  Brotha that’s not copacetic.  I’m doing my part to reduce the spam I receive, can you reciprocate once in while?

This layout and the way people can add replies at the top gets fun too.

This is from the Journal of Experimental Botany in 2008

you probably wouldn’t need anything like crazy blues to hit the AnC family on the head, near 550nm spectral peak with a bandwith of approx 70-80 nanometers.

Absorptance plots of spring green (1) and red (2) A. platanoides (A) and C. avellana (B) leaves with pigment content shown in Table 1. Spectrum 3 is the model of chloroplast thylakoid pigment absorption in anthocyanic leaves as screened by anthocyanins (see Discussion).

      table 1:

not sure if brad’s with us, or if I was the one being confusing.

      but yeah,

TL;DR:shit was stressed tf out, started producing a secondary shade pigment that lessens the pressure on the chloroplasts

ps:  if you’re going such high blues that you skip the phytochrome or AnC responses entirely, it might make for a markedly different cannabinoid profile.

are you talking sulfur/calcium toxicity dark? or like anthocyanin dark(purple)? leaf tanned because of UV?

these were from under a quantum board style light with supplemental UV and added calmag its entire life.  You can see the leaf on the right was partially under other leaves, and they’re both tanned away from pure green, the stems were in shade so only partly went purple tinged.

or are we talking more clearly anthocyanin based pigmentation like this?

note the fully purple leaves mixed with purple petioles and green leaves. pic is of a Blackberry Platinum OG I think.  ask @Somatek for a pic of something with purple flower but green leaf, I forget which of his posts I saw that in.

I’m not sure, most chenopods I’ve come across kept their distance.  One place I used to work at in the way-back had me steaming, squeezing and chopping ~20lbs/day of spinach by hand, and the extract used to fill the gloves we used – if we used them at all.

yeah, and I hope to replace it without leaving any fibers behind, but its what had on hand… thanks for reminding me to find something sanitary today.

heh, missed your other post halfway up, yesterday (7144)…. but specifically, (I think) the fox farms kelp extract doesn’t have the auxins that some people object to in flower.  I can partially relate, as I have a contact allergy to the (ecdysterone?) in fresh spinach, and to chitin – so no chitosal products for me either.
